Its name, taken from the Latin, intra muros,
literally meaning "with-in the walls" is Bryan's masterpiece.
This was the album of "spooky" Christian
music Bryan was completing at the time of his
death. Part of the recording session was featured
on the UK Channel 4 documentary Daydream Believers, which you can watch on the video page.
The recordings were finished off by John Bird,
who produced the sessions, in 2001 shortly after
Bryan's passing. Elizabeth, Bryan's mother, did
try to secure a distribution deal for the album
but due to the religious nature of the material,
the companies that are normally connected with
Love declined, and the album remained unfortunatly
unreleased. This was particularly sad due to the
great strength of the songs, like the amazing
Love Grows In Me & My Eyes Are Open.
Bryan was also scheduled to go back into the
studio to cut a 'regular' album, but it was not
to be. Again, sad considering the versions of
Orange Skies, Alone Again Or & Intra Muros,
that Bryan had recorded in those last few years
showed he still alot to offer... and maybe as
Bryan said 'the best was to come'. Intra
Muros stands as fine testiment to the ability
of a great songwriter.
Thankfully the album is now available, order your copy of Intra Muros NOW direct from Elizabeth Mckee at www.bryanmaclean.us
