UNRELEASED
STUDIO OUTTAKES (1980s?)
A few years ago I was sent a CD by a guy (first
name escapes me, surname Reay) who claimed to
have got these recordings from a studio where
Bryan had recorded in the 80s.
Apparantly they were cut with a view to completing
them with band overdubs. A couple of the tracks,
If You Believe In & Country Waltz both have
drums, keyboards etc and sound like they are getting
toward being finished. Both are unique in that
you get to hear Bryan's post-Love material backed
with a band. Good it sounds too!
Also here is a different version of Alone Again
Or to all the other released versions and an unknown
upbeat acoustic ditty with backing harmonies which
I have labelled 'A Feeling' until I find out the
proper title.
On the CD with these tracks were the versions
of Barber John, Kathleen and Husband & Father
that appeared on the Sundazed releases but in
poorer quality.
If anyone knows the true origin of these recordings,
has any info to add or has the master tapes to
pass to Elizabeth, please get
in touch.
